Bio:
Mindy Minx is the lead reporter for Channel 1 News. She is perhaps a little too dedicated to her job, failing to perceive danger to herself in the pursuit of a good story. Her reporter's instincts always lead her to exclusive scoops over her rivals.

A well-learned young woman, Mindy travels in the high society circles of Gray Lassie, where she rubs elbows with the rich and famous. Despite this, she retains a modesty that comes from her humble beginnings.

At one such social event, held at Club Posh, Mindy introduced herself to Frank Retruf. The two were getting along well when a nearby jewellery robbery fired off her reporting instincts. At the crime scene she met Hot Dog (Frank's alter ego) who totally failed to impress her. Returning to the party, Mindy was unable to find Frank again and now she worries he may not be interested in her after all.

Behind-the-scenes:
Mindy was one of the original characters developed after Hot Dog. She was intended to be a reporter who would ultimately become the love interest for Hot Dog's alter ego Frank Retruf, instead of Hot Dog himself (as is the case with most classic super heroes). The character's name follows a long standing tradition from super hero comics where a character's first and last name both begin with the same letters.
